Senior Customer Marketing Manager

The Senior Customer Marketing Manager is a key role within the Sales Organization of a rapidly growing CPG company selling through FDM, club, online and the natural channels.  

This position reports to the Director of Customer Marketing and interacts cross functionally with Field Sales, Marketing, Accounting and Supply Chain/Operations.

The position will work closely with Field Sales and other Departments in the following key areas; 

1) Customer Planning

2) Sales Reporting 

3) Business Analytics

4) Sales Communication

To be successful, you will build strong channels of communication with multiple departments within the company including, Field Sales, Brand Marketing, Accounting and Operations Planning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience
• 5 years or more experience in natural food & beverage, sports nutrition, dietary supplements, or other health and wellness or related   categories preferred
• Must be flexible, have a strong sense of urgency and be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience and knowledge of consumer products sales to large format retailers in food, drug, mass and club channels is essential.
• Understanding of channel dynamics and distributors in the natural products channel is helpful.
• Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc).
• Advanced Excel knowledge regarding formulas, pivot tables, vlookup etc…highly preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable and able to manipulate and extract information from internal software programs (i.e. SAP).
• Must be knowledgeable of Nielsen/IRI and other syndicated research tools and display strong category management skills.
• Must be proficient in forecasting, including existing products and new product launches.

• Able to work effectively with internal cross-functional teams and be able to comfortably deal with changing environments.
• Comfortable working in a lean organization with limited resources.
• Possess customer/consumer-centric mindset.
• Self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously; high energy level is essential.
• Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
