Trade Show Communications Manager

Entrepreneurial Consumer Health Products company is looking to hire a talented Trade Show Marketing Communications Manager outside of San Francisco, California.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the planning for, and development of, all U.S. trade shows/industry conferences to include; selection and coordination of events and attendees, follow-up lead management, tracking, and reporting. Lead the development and execution of all marketing communication initiatives for the company, in particular, email and direct mail outreach and new customer acquisition / cultivation initiatives. Work with company subsidiaries as needed. Support product management through the development and execution of all marketing communications efforts needed to drive new product launches. Partner closely and collaboratively with product management and sales to gain alignment on all marketing communication initiatives. Support product management through the development and execution of all marketing communications efforts needed to drive new product launches. Work closely with IT to maintain a complete customer database. Assist in the creation of the annual planning and budgeting process, providing recommendations for both budget initiatives as well as incremental investments to drive growth. Approximately 15% U.S. travel.

As an integral part of a growing marketing team, this person will constantly look to tackle new projects, and find creative and practical ways to make things happen. They should be a team player that can work autonomously to build internal and external relationships and find ways to profitably grow the business. Candidates should be passionate health enthusiasts, have a consistently positive attitude, be able to multi-task, and have strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • BA degree in marketing, marketing functions, and communications required. 3+ years of experience in marketing functions plus three years minimum in the healthcare environment.
  • Comfortable with science related topics; bioscience, pharmaceutical. Specific background in the dietary supplement industry a plus.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven experience working in cross-functional team environment, helping develop and create guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Proactive self-starter able to work autonomously and as a team-player.
  • Demonstrated experience developing integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness and lead generation.
  • Experience with copywriting to extract content from multiple sources and blend them into a new piece of content that tells a cohesive story.
  • Experience with trade show/conference scheduling, booth design/set-up, and management.
  • Pro-active, curious, self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and unquestionable integrity.
  • Experience with various computer programs and social media sites; Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Power Point, Excel, Work, Access, sales automation a plus but not required.
